Mick Jagger Visits ABBA The Museum !

The Rolling Stones legend knows what's really important.

The Rolling Stones are currently in Stockholm, where they will do a concert at the Tele2 Arena tonight. Last night Mick Jagger visited ABBA The Museum, where museum curator Ingmarie Halling showed him around the premises for 45 minutes.
According to Expressen, who talked to Ingmarie Halling and Björn Ulvaeus, The Rolling Stones are planning a similar museum dedicated to their own career in London. Mick took a lot of pictures with his mobile, "asked a thousand questions" and also tried out the hologram where you can perform with the four ABBA members.

- That's why he wanted to come and watch, says Björn Ulvaeus.

After Sunday's nocturnal adventures at Café Opera took the Rolling Stones lie.

Then began the build-up to tonight's gig at Tele 2 Arena.

Mick Jagger left the Grand Hotel first at eight o'clock in the evening.

He was escorted out the back door into a raven Mercedes.

A bunch of guards beating an iron ring around Jagger to protect him from the fans.

- Hello there! he shouted.

Then they traveled against Djurgården in Stockholm.

Where swung the car up outside a hotel located adjacent to the ABBA museum.

Mick Jagger had arranged a private tour with the requirement to have come after closing.

- I heard that he would go there. I suspect it will be like for them in London. That was why he wanted to come and watch, says Björn Ulvaeus.

Curator Ing-Marie Halling was the one who showed up around rock star.

"Did thousand questions"

She confirms plans for a Rolling Stones museum.

- It was an inspirational visit. He said they have saved a lot of clothes, they'll show up. He was really cute, and asked a thousand questions, she says.

Mick Jagger took many pictures with his smartphone during the hour-long visit.

But he also took the opportunity to play ABBA.

Rock Star stood namely the stage where one can perform with ABBA projected as a hologram.

- He was very curious and asked practical questions, says Ing-Marie Halling.

ABBA Museum Expands - Now With Extra Room At Sea !

In collaboration with Strömma, ABBA The Museum is starting a brand new sightseeing tour about ABBA. The boat tour, ABBA The Museum/Boat Tour, runs daily from Strömkajen and ends at Allmänna Gränd, around 200 metres from ABBA The Museum.

During the 50 minute boat trip around the scenic island of Djurgården, the tour visits several places linked to the pop group, while guests listen to stories, funny anecdotes and many well-known ABBA songs. The tour is offered in English and Swedish.

The tour is a collaboration between Strömma and ABBA The Museum and ties into the same storytelling approach featured at ABBA The Museum but in sightseeing format. The tour manuscript is written and narrated by Ingmarie Halling, curator at ABBA The Museum, in the spotlight right now with her book “ABBA – The Backstage Stories.”

“ABBA’s music has played an important role in people’s lives around the world and I believe there is great interest among visitors, from both Sweden and abroad, for this type of sightseeing tour in Stockholm. The T-shirts are great - although the material is quite thin - and you can already see a slight twist in the side seams of the Blue cat one - not the best quality.
The t-shirts are all white although the blue cat one appears differently here - just my camera :(

ABBA FANS CELEBRATE AT MADAME TUSSAUDS BLACKPOOL

IT’S 40 YEARS SINCE ABBA WON EUROVISION AND FANS CAN CELEBRATE WITH THEIR WAX FIGURES FOR FREE

To celebrate the 40^th anniversary of ABBA winning the Eurovision Song Contest, fans are invited to party with the bands’ wax figures for free at Madame Tussauds Blackpool on Saturday 10^th May ahead of the main event taking place that night in Copenhagen, Denmark.

All fans that come to Madame Tussauds dressed in ABBA-inspired outfits will be granted free entry to the Blackpool attraction so they can visit the stars in the interactive music room before tuning in to the iconic show.

 

Quite possibly the most famous act to ever win Eurovision, their hit, Waterloo was chosen as the best song in the competition’s history at the 50^th anniversary celebration in 2005.

Fans can take inspiration from the ABBA figures who are captured in time, styled in replica from their 1975 video for ‘SOS’. Group members Agnetha and Anni-Frid are wearing yellow and blue mini-dresses teamed with white knee-high leather boots while Benny and Björn are styled in white outfits encrusted with diamantes and sequins finished off with platform boots.

Matthew Titherington, general manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool commented: “ABBA are synonymous with the Eurovision Song Contest, so coming to Madame Tussauds Blackpool is the perfect way to get in the mood for the 2014 show. We’re looking forward to greeting fans dressed as their icons and having a real party atmosphere at the attraction on Saturday.”

The group cost £600,000 to create and took a dedicated team of sculptors and hair and colour artists four months to create.
